Progress 30.04.2021

Progress's been interesting for the next one, rending already started and I've had couple hiccups with it if I'm being honest, nothing really that would have hindered the process, just me having one of my perfectionist moments, ending up switching sets from one I originally intend to something else, that was slightly more annoying to get to work together as I want.

Writing, started day 27, needed to reread bit earlier so I can get the hooks right, and need to write something for days 22 and 23, they are missing something but I'm not sure what yet, mostly for day 23 since it feels too short for my liking. Probably was done short since there is three large scenes in it that each have big pile of renders but that's me to worry. And day 22 is more in case of editing some of the bits. But over all, I'm happy with it for a change, I'd still would want to be more ahead but it is what it is.

Yes, I use that mist a lot, but it adds to the atmosphere and it allows me to hide things that are in the view that I want to hide, and it allows me to use less "visually good looking" background props to save resources.

Changelog 0.21.0

 

So they day 21 is here and uploading as we speak. What has changed?

Changelog 0.21.0

  • Day 21 implemented
  • 276 Renders
  • Bunch of grammar and spelling fixes. (Adry Lemon, Tora, Phaelan Hood, Shaddy... and few others who I forgot and I can't find the post at the moment)

So how about the release? I'll be doing accelerated release for this one, meaning? $15-Tier gets it as soon as it is uploaded (couple hours from now), $10 Tier gets it 24 hours later so on the 29th, and $3 gets it 48 hour later so on the 30th. So rejoice!

Progress 26.04.2021

 

And good day to you all, well maybe morning and evening depending which side of the world you are.
 
So the progress, rendering, I have about half of the final scene left so I've been busy over the weekend. So we are getting there steadily enough.
 
Writing, as said on Friday I'll start day 27 tomorrow, this is still accurate as I have to do some spell checking, grammatical work, and pile of post work on day 21 so good timing for that.
 
And as a note, this day has less renders than the previous two, but that's simply because there isn't scenes that would require alternative variants, on day 20 there was 160(ish) renders just for the split between the branches. But that being said, there is content for both Gorgons and the Fiery Fangs.
 
Seems that I've learned how to do a decent lightning, finally! And yes, there is Hannah... and couple of hmm... friends showing up. So to say.

Progress 23.4.2021

 

Man this week has been weird. It's like all my creativity has been in a bottle that has been capped, and then last night it just blew open. Granted, temperatures are rising from what I would like them to be, and it always makes me sluggish for a week or two.

But despite of that, Day 21 is about half way done, I think I have 3 scenes, well 3 and 1/5 scenes left to render so despite of me feeling sluggish I'm on schedule.

As for writing, day 26 is mostly sorted and needs some final touches. Starting 27 on Tuesday probably, just to give my mind some peace. Who are we kidding? I'll start it as soon as I finalize the day 26.

I like this render, and I kind of wanted to post it when I made it, but wasn't sure in what kind of territory I would be for the rest of the week spoiler wise so thought it would be best to save this.

Public release of 0.20.0

 

Tested and played through few times, all the saves worked. But that doesn't mean things didn't slip by. So as always, if there is any issues please report them in here or on discord (https://discord.gg/GJK5kfKypg). Thank you, and please enjoy!

And as said, the pause feature patch is retired, you can delete the pausepatch.rpy and pausepatch.rpy files from the /game folder and you can see the option in preferences (Scene speed) .

Update from 0.19.0 to 0.20.0 (352.0 MB)

The update from 0.18.1 to 0.19.0: Extract the files from the zip-file in to game folder and overwrite the gui.rpa, images.rpa and scripts.rpa.

Extract the scripts.rpa into the /game folder and let it override the old one.

If the file permissions are wrong on the Mac version and it won't run. To fix it, you need to open a terminal and run:

sudo chmod -R 755 /Applications/Sorcerer.app

Progress 19.04.2021

 

Hello people! So it is a new week, and I actually managed to do some stuff over the weekend. So hooray for that!

Day 21 is underway, had some technical difficulties on getting some of the images to be what they should be but it's sorted and should be smooth from now on as that part of the day was done. Well here is hoping anyway.

Now writing, 26 is 3/4ths done and I should be able to finish it up in a day or two, so all is good on that department.

Changelog 0.20.0

 

Release time!

Building the final build, doing the patch, final test, and then it is go time people! 

Changelog 0.20.0

  • Day 20, the association event, implemented.
  • 420 renders...
  • Pause feature patch integrated (Thanks to ShaddyModda).
    This version allows you to either pause or change the delay between image changes (1 to 10 seconds) if you like the auto change but need longer time between them.
  • Pile of grammar, spelling and whatnot fixes (Thanks to Adry Lemon, To_Begin_With, Hunter Sweden, Phelan Hood)
  • Few tweaks for android versions  (the save naming should be disabled now properly, tested on Android 6.0)

Releases will be $15 once it has been uploaded, $10 will be on Sunday the 18th, and $3 will be on Tuesday the 20th. Public, within a week of the $3 Tier.

Progress on 12.04.2019

And day late here but was busy rendering... sorry about that.

Weekend has passed and it is Monday once again. So how is it going?

Image plan is done, the day is 90% programmed, just need pile scene statements and pauses to be put in to their places. I'll be doing final editing checks today as well and preliminary grammar fixes, but we all know that doesn't mean much at this stage. ;)

Renders, oh boy, apparently I've done 312+ renders, so one could think we are close. Well... it seems that I still need 115 renders on top of that, pushing this update past the 400 images. But on positives, by the time I've done the last render all I need to do is the final test to see that all the images are in their places.

Writing, I'm about 1/3rd done of the day 26 so I got decent progress on it over the weekend. Still not far as far I wanted to be, but needed to edit one scene to have the right tone in it, in relation to day 20.

And that's about it, realistically I'm once again waiting for the renders to be completed. So here's hoping all goes smoothly.

And still at the association, with more... higher class people. You can tell due to the hat.

Progress 09.04.2021

 

And we resume to somewhat normal progress, well not quite, I'm on schedule, bit ahead of it actually which is good, and over all rendering is going smoothly, I guess I'm learning how to do lightning properly for iRay.  And there is about 4... ish scenes left to render. But some of the posing will be interesting to do. Eh, just means more practice.

Writing took bit of a hit when I realized that there was almost no choices on day 20. Which in other turn, made me edit the script and write stuff, which is still in progress since I need to decide... hang on, if... hmmm... Never mind it's under control. But at any case I started the day 26 on Tuesday and I got stuff written on it, before my realization. However I resume that on the weekend.

All kinds of meetings happening on day 20, some with allies, some with friendly people, and some with... not so much.

Wheee Monday is here! Lot's of distractions on this weekend, but nothing too bad that I couldn't do anything, mostly affected writing but I'm starting on day 26 tomorrow so not so bad.

So it's 6th day of rendering the day 20, and I'm on schedule hooray! There is still piles to do but getting there, steadily enough.

Bit girl bonding at coffee shop before shopping. Bit short progress post today, but I'm on the zone for making stuff so I kinda want to keep the momentum going while I can.

Progress 02.04.2021

 

Well... something before we get to the actual progress post. I've been made of aware of certain things that requires me to do some changes. First off, public release links from now on will be here. There still will be public progress posts on Patreon and here
 
This change doesn't change anything for my patrons, you get the links from here like you always have on the day you are supposed to get them. I apologize for this, but apparently it is the rules.
 
Secondly, the pause feature patch is in a process being integrated to the VN itself, with the option for players to set the delay between the image changes. However, it is setup so that if you have the patch installed and forget about it the patch will override the new integration and works as it used to be.
 
Now to the actual progress, day 20. Rendering is going smoothly, for most parts, it's just personal irritations with requiring to use dForce after every single render because of the clothing I chose for the scene. But that's on me, and it is on the schedule I set so there are no issues with it.
Writing of the day 25 is finishing up, there are some variations to dialogue and scenes I need to write but that should be done by Monday. Which is a blessing as the writing buffer increases before the day under work is finished.
 

Dressing up fancily. Now this is the event in the association that those on the Kiri branch knew was coming since day 10, and those who were with the gorgons knew... on day 19.

Hello all! Friday... I'm sleepy. No, I've slept relatively decently this week. Anyway, so what's up? I'm putting making the ...
