Changelog 0.32.0

It's the final day again when doing release, bleh! But as said, renders take what they take. Although there are a couple renders I'm not happy with but... we'll see. Probably take a look at them after a short break. Like, the rest of the evening in theory.

Anyway.

Changelog 0.32.0

  • Day 32 implemented.
  • 413 Renders
  • Implemented "click to continue" marker, this is only for this update onward at the moment, going through the older scenes where I've used pause by the next update.
  • Grammar and spelling fixes (Thanks to Adry Lemon, Shaddy, Orion777, Noneya666, Bread (although his fixes are still work in progress just fyi))

So the release schedule:

  • $15 Tier: The moment it has been uploaded.
  • $10 Tier: 2nd of November
  • $5 Tier: 3rd of November
  • $3 Tier: 4th of November
  • Public: 11th of November

And as always with these end of the month releases, mostly after I've been yelled at by my lawyer, those of you who were my patrons in October will receive the links into the patreon message box on the day that was your tier (+/- 12 hours) as long as the thing works.

Progress 29.10.2021

 

Nope last weeks curse hasn't subsided and this was cutting really close for my liking. Bleh!

So anyway, I have two scenes left to render and I'm somewhere past 350 renders at the moment, it's getting bit blurry in that section if we are honest. And I didn't even add anything this time, just how it has been. Honestly I just can't wait to get this update done. But getting there.

And writing is going to places. About literally, wrote the last thing that needed bit more in-depth scene and now moving on to parsing together the game changing stuff. Whee variations whee... Although despite it might not sound like it, I'm kind of looking forward to that. It would be so much easier if there would be just success/failure conditions, but there are variations that needs to be made depending on what certain choices were. If you chose X things go certain way, but the same choice has variations Y and Z. If you didn't chose X well, consequences 

In all, this has been interesting learning experience in contrast to TRS. I've found few things that work better, and some things that doesn't work that well. So I know what to change, and what to keep. And I know what my limits are and what I can do per update. Which apparently can be... a lot, relatively speaking.

Anyway...

And then there is Xiu, she is also back with her own scene.

And Oriana has woken up, and now is under the Evie's care, and apartment for now... tone of the conversations depends on what you chose on day 20.

Public release of 0.31.0

Right, so, but stuff here. As said on the changelog post some choices are behind previous choices. Choice regarding Zoey is gated behind Mei and the "special encounter" with her and the choice with Zoey on a later day.

How far you get with Gertrud depends on what you chose on day 29, still get to decline her... offer though. So feel free to go until the end of the path with her.

Progress 25.10.2021

 

This weekend has been interesting to say the least, hopefully last weeks whatever it was has passed and things flows smoothly enough from now on. Hah! I wish. Anyway...

Managed to do stuff over the weekend, not that is actually that surprising at this stage, or shouldn't be. I'm more or less on the schedule at the moment when it comes to renders, but I would so hope I would be further ahead than I am, but renders take the time they need.

There are few larger scenes left that makes me want to scream, mostly because of the posing being... interesting...

On writing side of things I actually started writing day 37 yesterday, didn't really want to wait for it as it will take some time to sort everything out the way it should go. Probably need to tweak things from here and there still but that's nothing new either.


So Dagna heard that Sabrina needs some stamina training and she volunteered... not sure Sabrina is that delighted about it.

And then have some more fairies.

Progress 22.10.2021

Man this week has sucked for rendering, at least feels like it, partially because now I need to mess around external timers so I know when the render is done because GPU fans doesn't spin up as high anymore, but never the less I'm more or less halfway to the script at the moment. 

Writing, starting day 37 on Monday.  That is going to be interesting to do really so many options to cover. And will be interesting to render to make it more or less coherent. 

Although one thing that irritates me is that I estimated that it would take year and a half to finish this. I would have been correct if there would have been the original 36 days AND no branching days. So I will go over that estimate. Still, in the end the question is, was the branching worth it? Yeah it was. I could have structured so that it would be fully linear, but at the same some of the things that people seem to enjoy wouldn't be there. Funnily enough Maie would be one of those those things, although adding her was a spur-of-the-moment. 

But enough rambling, its preview render time!

Funny how brighter it comes when you move "a cloud" out of the way. I'm happy with the render, and it will be interesting to see how the renders flow out... And yes, they shrunk him to their size. And no Alexander isn't floating, I checked, 16 times. And yes, I counted.

Progress 18.10.2021

 

Oh wow it has been... hectic to say the least. Now how are things going?

Rendering, day 32 is underway, I'm bit behind from where I want to be, but that's because I redid 10 renders that I wasn't happy with, but that just means I need to do one or two more renders more per day to catch up. Not really an issue.

Writing... finishing touches on day 36, it still is missing something but I can't really pinpoint what, it will come to me eventually. 

So... yeah, the render. Well it wouldn't be spoilers really since it doesn't directly involve the current version.... but due to nature of them can't show them in public. But that being said, you get to see who returns for the 0.32.0 update... If you met them.

Two of them are bit tiny in that image but you should be able to recognize them anyway.

Changelog 0.31.0

Okay so this day is a bit strange on the flow side, some of the choices are hidden behind something you've chosen earlier, if you didn't make the choice earlier, you don't get a choice now. So it might appear that you don't have a choice in certain things. It's... complicated.

Release is once proofreading is done, and final build can be made. I'll edit the release schedule in once that is done.

Progress 11.10.2021

So it's Monday and time for progress over the weekend...

It went okay? Daz had download issues that prevented me from doing a scene, so I skipped it and did other part of the scene. That irritated the hell out of me, so wasn't in  the best mood over the weekend, and was bit avoiding people. The issue is sorted now, but still irritated cause it messed up my workflow.  Anyway, about one and half scenes left to do about.

Writing is still going, not much to say about that at this stage though, it's in okay shape would want to it to be further but that is something I always want.

So the renders, they will be concept renders, simply due the nature of the scene I'm rendering at they aren't exactly suitable for public, and some other renders before that I want to keep a secret. Just not to spoil things. Anyway, enjoy?



 
I've said it before, lot of times it is just about testing things, what works, what doesn't look, does the figure match the idea what I have, does the environment match what I have in my head. Right now, I'm not sure either of the characters matches what I want. The environment is spot on though. Render time I'm not happy about, but I live with it.

So how do I solve the character issue? Depends a bit. At times I just browse my character inventory to see what inspiration it gives, good thing about using characters based on Genesis 8 male is that I can apply any morph that I have to them and the textures still work. Just are the textures right or not is a different question.

So who is this you might want to ask? She is Emily, when she was still alive.

Progress 08.10.2021

 

Friday has come a long and so has the last progress post for this week.

So how is it going? Pretty decently, rendering is going relatively smoothly, had to rerender few images as I wasn't happy about them but that's about the normal. Render wise I'm slightly ahead of the schedule And have about 4 scenes left to render.

Writing is in okay state, I say in okay because I know what I need to write, I'm just not sure will the length be enough for my liking. But making more stuff isn't that big of a deal.

Poor Ryder, out of his favorite car... And nothing to worry about, this is just a bridge to other event.

Something that has been long overdue...

Progress 04.10.2021

 

Well that  was one interesting weekend. Anyway...

First things first, the grammar patch is done. I'll be adding the links once I've finished this post. And it is just grammar fixes, there are not functional changes, and therefor there is no need to download it if you don't want, all of those grammar fixes will be in with 0.31.0 anyway.

And now to the other stuff. Rendering, it's going actually quite nicely, I'm around where I should be perhaps bit ahead over all so that's good.

Writing in other hand, well day 35 is done, now I'm gathering the lose ends that needs more material before the end, and marking down things that are easy to "solve" in the epilogues. Not that there is that many lose ends to deal with so we'll see, it will be interesting.

Someone made Zoey cry... tsk, tsk.

Progress 01.10.2021

And slightly surprising progress post despite having released stuff yesterday, and mostly sleeping, don't know why but I slept a lot, anyway!

So obviously I'm rendering the day 31 already, I would love to say it goes smoothly but it kind of doesn't? There is no real problems outside my personal irritations over really stupid things that doesn't even matter.

Writing side I'll be finishing the day 35 over the weekend, unless I randomly decide to add things to day 31... Then move to day 36, so overall I'm happy with that. 

Yes there is some odd reflections from the light in the bookshelf, not sure should I leave it or do tricks in post yet, but that is something worry about after finishing this series.
