Progress on 12.04.2019

And day late here but was busy rendering... sorry about that.

Weekend has passed and it is Monday once again. So how is it going?

Image plan is done, the day is 90% programmed, just need pile scene statements and pauses to be put in to their places. I'll be doing final editing checks today as well and preliminary grammar fixes, but we all know that doesn't mean much at this stage. ;)

Renders, oh boy, apparently I've done 312+ renders, so one could think we are close. Well... it seems that I still need 115 renders on top of that, pushing this update past the 400 images. But on positives, by the time I've done the last render all I need to do is the final test to see that all the images are in their places.

Writing, I'm about 1/3rd done of the day 26 so I got decent progress on it over the weekend. Still not far as far I wanted to be, but needed to edit one scene to have the right tone in it, in relation to day 20.

And that's about it, realistically I'm once again waiting for the renders to be completed. So here's hoping all goes smoothly.

And still at the association, with more... higher class people. You can tell due to the hat.

Progress 09.04.2021

 

And we resume to somewhat normal progress, well not quite, I'm on schedule, bit ahead of it actually which is good, and over all rendering is going smoothly, I guess I'm learning how to do lightning properly for iRay.  And there is about 4... ish scenes left to render. But some of the posing will be interesting to do. Eh, just means more practice.

Writing took bit of a hit when I realized that there was almost no choices on day 20. Which in other turn, made me edit the script and write stuff, which is still in progress since I need to decide... hang on, if... hmmm... Never mind it's under control. But at any case I started the day 26 on Tuesday and I got stuff written on it, before my realization. However I resume that on the weekend.

All kinds of meetings happening on day 20, some with allies, some with friendly people, and some with... not so much.

Wheee Monday is here! Lot's of distractions on this weekend, but nothing too bad that I couldn't do anything, mostly affected writing but I'm starting on day 26 tomorrow so not so bad.

So it's 6th day of rendering the day 20, and I'm on schedule hooray! There is still piles to do but getting there, steadily enough.

Bit girl bonding at coffee shop before shopping. Bit short progress post today, but I'm on the zone for making stuff so I kinda want to keep the momentum going while I can.

Public Release of 0.19.0

And it is time for the public release, the new way. Yay?

Anyway without long ramblings, here is the current version of the Sorcerer:

Unfortunately, mac version is untested.

Update from 0.18.1 to 0.19.0 (248.5 MB):

The update from 0.18.1 to 0.19.0: Extract the files from the zip-file in to game folder and overwrite the gui.rpa, images.rpa and scripts.rpa.

If the file permissions are wrong on the Mac version and it won't run. To fix it, you need to open a terminal and run:

sudo chmod -R 755 /Applications/Sorcerer.app

OPTIONAL features that will change the default functionality of the VN:

Pause feature:

Changes the default behavior in scenes so that you need to click between images when there is no dialogue going. Without this, the images changes automatically at predefined time. Some scenes are excluded from, it for now.

The pickled edition:

Adds pickles... don't ask, better for your sanity.

Progress 02.04.2021

 

Well... something before we get to the actual progress post. I've been made of aware of certain things that requires me to do some changes. First off, public release links from now on will be here. There still will be public progress posts on Patreon and here
 
This change doesn't change anything for my patrons, you get the links from here like you always have on the day you are supposed to get them. I apologize for this, but apparently it is the rules.
 
Secondly, the pause feature patch is in a process being integrated to the VN itself, with the option for players to set the delay between the image changes. However, it is setup so that if you have the patch installed and forget about it the patch will override the new integration and works as it used to be.
 
Now to the actual progress, day 20. Rendering is going smoothly, for most parts, it's just personal irritations with requiring to use dForce after every single render because of the clothing I chose for the scene. But that's on me, and it is on the schedule I set so there are no issues with it.
Writing of the day 25 is finishing up, there are some variations to dialogue and scenes I need to write but that should be done by Monday. Which is a blessing as the writing buffer increases before the day under work is finished.
 

Dressing up fancily. Now this is the event in the association that those on the Kiri branch knew was coming since day 10, and those who were with the gorgons knew... on day 19.

I will be publishing the public versions of my VN's in here as well. And probably some other stuff as well comes here over time, should have done this for a while now but been busy. So stay tuned, first public release is on here for 0.19.0.
