Progress 30.08.2021

 

SURPRISE!

Yes, caps were intentional. So yeah, there isn't much done considering that the release was about 12 hours ago, maybe, bit hazy on the details and bit sleepy. Anyway...

Rendering of the next day started, the image attached to this is bit of a spoiler but nothing that you wouldn't expect to happen, just probably sooner than you would think.

Writing, since it was release day yesterday I lost good chunk of it so couldn't write as much as I would have wanted but I'm about 3 or 4 pages from the end of day 33 so it's all good, I'll start day 34 in couple of days so not worried about it.

Changelog 0.28.0

 And once again we are closing on the release. Right now I'm building the final build, then doing quick test that everything is working and then it is time to upload.

Changelog:

  • Day 28 implemented
  • 389 Renders.
  • All the scenes are in the new pause controller, or should be.
  • Fixed some bugs and issues.
  • Grammar and spelling fixes (Thanks to Adry Lemon, ShaddyModda, Andro, Orion777, and couple of others who I've forgotten most likely)

So the release schedule: 

  • $15 Tier, as soon as it has been uploaded.
  • $10 Tier, 31st of August
  • $5 Tier, 1st of September
  • $3 Tier, 2nd of September
  • Public, 9th of September

Progress 27.08.2021

Bit late, but nothing unusual either, had to wait the MC to get his pants on... So where I'm at? Three and maybe 1/4 scenes left to do. They aren't that large, but it's mostly requiring to do one scene twice that makes it bit more slower then it should be. 

Technically I need to redo one of the scenes on day 29 as well, but for that I can use the older images, just need to remember to keep the clothing the same.

The day is coded in for most parts, and the script was sent to proofreading.

Anyway writing, eh it's going, hopefully should be done with day 33 by Monday. Some variants that bloats the day but that is to be expected at this point in all honesty.

And when the action is done, a moment of rest is warranted before new adventures...

Progress 28.08.2021

It was fairly good weekend for productivity, I got lots done. 

So let's tackle writing first, I wanted to be around halfway of day 33 by Monday, and unsurprisingly I'm around halfway through it by Monday. So that's good as I can keep the 4 or 5 days buffer in writing. Although only irritation is that current batch of renders is finished quickly so writing isn't smooth, lots of breaks.

Rendering. I'm on schedule with this one as well, I think anyway, did piles of renders and scene wise I'm also halfway as I should be. At the end things will slow down a bit as I need to do same scene twice because different actors, well one. Luckily it is relatively short scene. And saying that it will be 100 renders each.

Hooray for multiple figure posing... *sigh* I love certain assets, such as those skeletons. What I don't like is that they require their own pose set. They have one basic which is fine for one of renders but sequential renders not so much, there are ways to deal with it but it still slower than applying premade pose. So sorry in advance for any irritating pose issues with them. And funny thing is, I could probably double the amount of skeletons in that render and still be fine resource wise. Just the posing of them gives me nightmares.

Progress 20.08.2021

 

Early progress post for a change! So what is going on?

Well obviously rendering day 28, that's kind of given, although posing multiple characters in a fight scenes eats way too much time for my liking. But getting there.


Although annoyingly I lost a few renders for reasons, so have to make couple more to complete a scene.

As for writing. Unfortunately, rendering has been eating up around 99% of my system resources (read VRAM) to the point where I've had to shutdown everything outside of Daz so it isn't where I want it to be. But this is exactly the reason why I keep a buffer, and on positives the heavy resource phase is over for a moment so I should be able to catch up over the weekend. Assuming everything goes as planned, which they usually don't.

And despite all of the grievance I have over the posing and system resource use, I'm still having a fun with the renders. And yes, there is atmospheric haze going on, they are on an island somewhere and unsurprisingly inside a fog >.> And yes, the MC is holding the katana wrong, but he is just holding it after Aya handed it to him.

Progress 16.08.2021

 

And despite yesterdays release it is time for progress post. And I have to apologize for the extra emails from yesterday, there were few some random issues with the thing but it should be sorted now.

So day 28 rendering is underway, started doing on Sunday already so there is some sort of progress in that front, not going to spoil something in this so don't worry. But yeah, rendering is going, not as smooth as I would want but then again I was supposed to start rendering tomorrow according to the schedule I set for myself so I can't complain much.

Writing, day 33 is delayed for a bit, didn't like how day 32 ended so writing something more to it, but that's done in about hour that doesn't really change anything.

And no spoilers with two people talking, right? And yes the lightning is intentionally so that the bookcase is darkened. The MC got new lightning designer >.> And yes, combat attires for everyone in this update. Except Miyuki, she will use her kimono, which technically is her combat attire...

Progress 13.08.2021


Good morning/evening/night/day depending on where you are on this mud ball of ours! No I'm not that cheerful when I wake up ;)

Right so, how are things going? Waiting for renders, as an estimate I have the magical 60 left at the moment. Give or take. Although I have to admit, I'm not happy of some of the renders but... there is nothing wrong with them as is, just not happy. Damn brain nagging...

And writing is where I want it to be in all honesty so there is no much to say about it really. Starting day 33 soonish, probably give my brain some time to rest. Hah! That would be the day.

And some discussions. This update opens few questions, probably. One of them will be answered on 28, with bit more expanding on day 30. The others, well I would say they are clear, but I'm the author, I know what is going to happen so I'm biased.

Progress 09.08.2021 and public release of 0.26.0

 

So 0.26.0 is live for the general public, you can find it in a post below this one.

So new week, new challenges. For the MC anyway. So how is it going?

Rendering is on the schedule I set for myself, there about, might be slightly ahead, not entirely sure since after 200 images things get blurry. Although what I don't like is when posing a scene will take way too long then it should, because reasons.

Writing is going, didn't get as much done over the weekend as I would like, but mostly it was due to of making certain that an event in the upcoming update works properly and looks the part. And that being said, I'm confident that I can finish the day 32 by the weekend.

And the girls have gathered at the cabin... I wonder why... ;)

Progress 06.08.2021

 

Wow, it's Friday already, and I feel I haven't done anything, despite the evidence saying differently. So how are things going?

Rendering, well rendering is going it's on schedule that I've set for myself so I'm happy about it really. There have been couple really magical renders that I can't wait for you folks to see.

Writing, halfway through day 32, it will be bit interesting day to make, might take longer than I want to make due... meeting few old friends, well old and old. And then few other things so it probably increases the render amount somewhat.

And Sebastian has returned, and usual this isn't good news as you can see from the looks on their faces. And yes, Miyuki raided Aya's wardrobe .

Man it feels so good to be done with this update. Doing the release build as I type this, then I'll do a quick run through just to make thing work and it gets uploaded.
