Changelog 0.34.0

 

Changelog time!

Changelog 0.34.0

  • Day 34 implemented.
  • 357 Renders
  • Integrated the extras to the main build so no more separate download for them.
  • Grammar, spelling, and other fixes (Thanks to Adry Lemon, Shaddy, Orion777, Bread, monksims, BTLD, ThunderRob)

So the release schedule:

  • $15 Tier: The moment it has been uploaded.
  • $10 Tier: 30th of November
  • $5 Tier: 1st of December
  • $3 Tier: 2nd of December
  • Public: 9th of December

And as always with the end of the month releases, those of you who were my patrons during November will receive a link to this version into their patreon inbox. This should happen on the same day as the tier release, give or take 24 hours depending is the messaging system acting up again.

Progress 26.11.2021

 

Friday and that means progress post. And coincidentally public release day, so that you can get from the post below this. But onward to the progress!

Let's start with writing... done with day 37, not entirely happy as I feel it misses something but I can't pinpoint what yet. However that is fairly easy to sort out once I start rendering as usually then I'll figure out what's missing. And that means... it's epilogue writing time and I'm already kind of halfway through the first variant of it. Well there is two variants really, one that has a lot of variations and one that doesn't, then I need to make few dozen of scenes, which isn't bad since it's all in my head already.

And thus we come to the rendering of day 34... about 2 and half scenes left to render. About there, only irritation is Daz being a slightly annoying with closing and opening the scenes taking ages. And using dForce on every image... bleh.

But yeah stuff is going mostly smoothly.

Hmmm... Miyuki in her formal kimono, makes you wonder a bit...

And since I was in the mood, Oriana, interesting combination of clothes I have to admit.

Progress 22.11.2021

I'm in a strange mood, the writing I did over the weekend made me feel... let's just say I don't really enjoy writing the failure scenes. But, choices have consequences and considering the plot and the world, at times it isn't happy endings. But that being said, I did start of those happy endings as well just need to get out of the negative mood. Eh, it will sort itself out once I get back to writing the good stuff.

Anyway, that's the writing part. It's basically done just need to sort one or two more positive variants out, then stuff as aftermath maybe, not sure yet how I sort that part out, then it is some more stuff for the grand finale or epilogues, granted those are mostly sorted in my head already. Kind of weird. Anyway, rambling a bit.

Rendering wise, I'm pretty much where I need to be, just need to sort couple models out, well details of the models but that's minor inconvenience, mostly, dForce hair is such pain in the back side because it is a resource hog. Well have to see how it goes... It isn't like I haven't changed what I've planned on the fly before.

And the we are getting some time with Sabrina for a change.

Progress 19.11.2021

 

Wohoo... stuff has been done! Yay? So...

Rendering wise, I'm where I'm supposed be roughly. One scene took way longer than I wanted, at least it felt like it but in reality I will be on the schedule surprisingly, or unsurprisingly depending on who you ask.

As for writing, I'm not sure how many times I've rewritten some of the sections because I'm not happy with them, and in all honesty what was originally written for the final day is just frame work at the moment, so many things affecting things that it isn't funny. But then again, I knew that when going in. Anyway as it is now I should be able to finish up it soon, as it taken longer than I've wanted already but happens. Which is why I have the writing buffer in hand.

And then we return with some more or less important discussions...

  • Implemented "click to continue" marker for the remaining scenes that use pause. Should have gotten all of them.
  • Added something cliched to Evie's scene on day 32.

Progress 12.11.2021

 

Man, day 37 is going to be strange to make, and wouldn't be too surprised if I break 1000 renders with singular day. Variations, variations and some more variations.

Oh hi! Before rambling more about day 37 let's fill you all up with what is going on. Good stuff mostly, I have 1/3rd of a scene left to do, give or take so shouldn't be too long, but as always, if render takes 30 minutes it will take 30 minutes thus what I think is fast might not actually be fast.

So yeah that's pretty much it for today if we are honest. Things are going well in all fronts, rendering, is smooth relatively speaking, always want it to be faster but it's something you learn to live with. Writing is going well, although I don't like writing some of the scenes at the moment since they are the scenes when things have gone wrong. And I don't think that any author likes actually killing their characters, luckily Sorcerer being an interactive medium all of those failures are avoidable.

... and then I notice a problem in half a dozen renders... *sighs* Anyway... relatively easy to fix in post.

So this updates them seems to be fire and ice, not sure how it end up being like that but hey.

Progress 08.11.2021

 

Wait what? Progress post at this early? Well yes, for a change ;)

So how did things go over the weekend? Surprisingly well. Getting used to the slight variation of the fans humming when the render is done so I'm starting to be at normal pace of rendering. But that being said I'm on schedule on the of the renders and starting the final, hmmm 3 scenes? Well technically 2 and half but it's bit complicated, anyway starting that tomorrow.

On writing, I actually scrapped pile of writing on day 37 that I didn't like and rewrote them, but still on track with that, had good flow of text so just wrote and wrote, and then wrote some more, probably too much so have to edit to make more sense. But beyond that I'm happy with it, more than happy actually.

Someone isn't happy with the MC...

And then if you did everything right Maera got some legs on her...

Progress 05.11.2021

 

Hello good people! It's Friday and it means there has been some sort of progress made.

So yeah rendering has been going on since Monday, just didn't have much to show as didn't want to spoil things until people got their chance with the latest build. So I'm around halfway of the script, more or less with the renders and it has been better than the last two weeks, there are few "issues" but they are mostly due me forgetting to use windowed mode on the other stuff I do while waiting renders.

Writing is going, it's in a weird place at the moment if we are honest. It's easy to add things for sake of adding things but problem with that is that you eventually need to tie all the threads you've opened. Most of them anyway. But yeah, all is good. Stuff is progressing in that front as well.


So bit more Maria, some stuff to discuss and information to get.

And this image definitely is missing some fire... Probably should add some more ;)
