Hello all!
Friday... So what's up? So the update is done, mostly, I just need to do the hidden render assuming the weather allows it. And once that is done I'll do the builds. And as mentioned with the weather, thunder has been an issue. I've had to pause doing things several times in the last two days, slightly annoying but not the end of the world as the update is done now, just need to do the builds. And take this as a small heads up: while it should be clear tomorrow and Sunday, it also might not be clear as one forecast says one thing, and the other says something else. So it will be released once it's uploaded. But that being said, I'll finish writing update 50 over the weekend, and I'll start rendering the 0.47.0 on Monday. So, progress will continue regardless. And then... a picture, and since no spoilers thus something else. Reminder, these are just concept things at this stage. Maybe some insight into the lore and things.
This is a bit of a twofold. Alexander's work will still feature to a point in Sorcerer 2, like in the first one it was there, and it is a good way to introduce some of the key people, whether good or bad. But while the company is there, it isn't, or shouldn't feature too heavily as is, just in some key moments, and maybe fill a gap or two to keep certain "realism" in mind. That and it is harder for certain characters to be detached from the company, such as Mei and Zoey at this stage of their lives. Then the second is the undead. The undead can't be trusted. This was said more than once in Sorcerer; at the same time, it is true and it isn't. There are reasons for people to say it, but it is the same for every group and faction in the Shattered Seals setting. They want their own things. Not all vampires are power-hungry maniacs bent on domination of the mortals. Not all liches are bent on turning the world into an undead playground. Or trying to control the governments of the world. There are individuals and groups who want to be left alone, just to live their lives (or unlives) in peace. They are still monsters; they won't have remorse nor regrets. But an enemy of my enemy is... well, not a friend, but someone that you share a goal with as long as you assume they will backstab you one way or the other once the common threat is gone. Will you trust them or not? Well that is a choice to be made... Anyway. You all have a great weekend! I'll see if I can finish up the hidden image now that the sky looks clear.
