Progress (0.21.0) 19.10.2026

Hello all!

Bleh... Managed to catch a cold. Anyway... enough whining about that. What’s up?

Rendering is... In my opinion I didn’t get as much done as I’d hope for, but to my surprise evidence points differently. I have about three scenes to render. No set building needed, so... it all is about just raw numbers. It’s a couple hundred renders in total. Will take a day or two longer to render than I wanted, but nothing catastrophic overall.

Writing is almost where I would want it to be. Getting sick is one of the reasons why I try to write in advance. Rendering is simpler in a sense to do when not feeling 100% since all you need to do is follow the script. Anyway, all is good for a change.

And then the plot thickens... various things moving forward, certain people to be introduced to provide information. And then amusingly, a random thing that I did during the rendering created a nice bundle out of things. This is why I like to keep the "write as you progress" approach. I could take a month or two before putting out a new VN to write the whole thing. Not a problem. I’ve written books in less time. But having the middle parts filled in detail leaves little room to react to things. If I get an idea during rendering, I can use it later down the line. But with "fully completed" script, that would be impossible without significant rewrites. And the idea might work better than the original script. So hooray! And do I actually have anything to say about this render? Not really; it sort of advances two things, but neither in a significant breakthrough way... yet. Right, since I’ve done today’s quota, I’ll take a break and write stuff... maybe finally get the character that has been hounding my mind for weeks out...
