Hello all!
Friday, and you know what that means... a progress post! How are things going?
Well, as you would expect, the update was sent to testing, and there are some minor details to be filled on my end, so it’s all good and on schedule. So I’ll be mostly writing and doing the little things over the weekend. Then starting rendering the 0.21.0 on Monday.
So filler stuff once more... hooray. Yeah, annoyingly, there are some texture issues going on with this render. Not sure if it’s the lighting, the set, or a combination of things. Eh, I’ll sort it out somehow. Right, when working with new settings, it’s always interesting to see how the little things fall into their places. The basis of the setting is alternate Earth, and what if something catastrophic happened before we managed to enter "modern times." At least that was the starting point. So the next question is what would make it different from a dozen other "alternate earth steampunk settings"? Inclusion of magic, to a point not going into details about that yet. And how would a surge of raw magic affect things? Three examples in the render. The crystalline lady, the mini-cat girl, and the gold-plated stone guy with a cognac glass in his hand. Mix those together, and you have something different. Then you create other similar things depending on the various regions of the planet, and then you suddenly have an entire world built in a new way... Right... that’s enough rambling. I’ll continue writing and doing some minor things. You all have a great weekend!
